6th of April 2018: Michael Langeneckert from Mainz Dance/State Theater Mainz starts teaching at DANCEWORKS berlin in October
We are pleased to announce that choreographer, dancer and teacher Michael Langeneckert who currently is working as rehearsal director for Mainz Dance / State Theater Mainz will soon be teaching contemporary dance in our education program. He has been working with famous choreographers such as Sharon Eyal, Ruy Horta, Club Guy and Roni, Guy Nader and Mario Campos. As a dancer he was engaged at Theater St. Gallen in Switzerland, in the German theaters of Kiel and Oldenburg with Martin Stiefermann, in Kaiserslautern as well as in Basel at Dance Ensemble Cathy Sharp. His choreographies were performed at E-Werk Freiburg, Theaterhaus Stuttgart, at Rotebühlplatz Stuttgart, Theater Linz and in Moutier in Switzerland. For his contemporary training he combines 30 years experience as professional dancer, choreographer and rehearsal director with release technique, bodywork, improvisation and conditioning.

19th of February 2018: New addition for our teachers‘ team at DANCEWORKS
From today on Sonia Rodríguez will start teaching Contemporary in our professional education program. The Spanish choreographer, dancer and teacher in her diverse career amongst others worked with Cia Rui Horta in Germany, the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, the Scottish Dance Theater, Cia Norrdans in Sweden and Cia La Baraka in France. She was invited to perform at Beijing Dance Festival and created a choreography as artist in residence in Bangalore, India, at Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts in cooperation with the Goethe-Institute. Welcome!
New studio opening on the 2nd of February 2018
At the beginning of February we will officially inaugurate our freshly renovated dance studio in Berlin-Wedding. The performance is already sold out!
February 2018: Start of our pre-education programs spring for ambitious hobby dancers and future professionals!
DANCE AS A PROFESSION (TAB) spring and our new program TAB WEEKEND will start in our brandnew school facilities in February. For this programme you do not need to pass an audition. It is possible to take advanced classes for both programmes. Dancers with previous experience are welcome to participate. Further information and registration you find HERE.
November 2017: Advancing on the DANCEWORKS construction site
Our new school facilities are taking shape. We are looking forward to the grand opening of our beautiful DANCEWORKS berlin loft in February. Here some pictures of the progress.
July 13th and July 14th 2017: End of year performances "Turning Point_"
The dates for our end of year performances are set: On July 13th and July 14th 2017, the graduates and students of our state-approved 3-year education programme show their talent at the Werkstatt der Kulturen in Berlin.
